Hi. I've been thinking about replacing parts recently and wondering about carabiner replacement. I thought I remember reading somewhere that you should replace them yearly. Is this the case? They don't look worn or scratched at all. Do they weaken over time from normal use?

I've read that you're supposed to replace them yearly as well. I think given the important job they have, it's probably worth doing. Repurpose the old ones for other less critical endeavors.
